About the role

We are looking for a Business Analyst who is passionate about sport and technology to join our fast-growing company. You will be working in a dynamic environment alongside a world-class team of entrepreneurs, technologists, and clients, focused on turning Clubspark, our award-winning sport participation platform, into a global leader.

In your First Year you will:

  • Define requirements and support the team in delivering our first phase of leagues
  • Define a large portion of requirements for phase 2 of leagues
  • Define requirements for Team Captain product
  • Build close working relationships with stakeholders at USTA

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the product owner to understand and define business requirements and set product KPIs
  • Ensure business requirements are aligned with product goals
  • Conduct user research and usability testing to inform product design
  • Analyse data to identify trends and insights that can inform product development
  • Assist with the development of user stories and acceptance criteria
  • Contribute to the design and development of new features and enhancements
  • Provide support to internal stakeholders and customers as required
  • Write functional documentation

Skills, knowledge & experience required:

Essential Skills

  • Passion for sport and technology
  • A knowledge of racket sports, specifically Tennis and its rules and formats
  • 2 years’ experience in digital or software Product Management, Business Analysis and/or degree in an equivalent area
  • Experience in Agile software development
  • Experience in user research and user testing
  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively
  • The ability to work both independently and within a team
  • Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Experience in writing requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria
  • Strong but personable, you will be working with a small, highly collaborative team
  • Ability to work in US Eastern Time Zone as needed

Great if you also have

  • Recognized project management qualification or equal experience (e.g. PRINCE2, APMP, Agile certification, SCRUM)
  • Experience in a digital agency, or similar fast-paced environment
  • Experience of working on a SaaS platform, ideally in the sports sector
  • Experience in using Confluence and Jira
  • Ability to occasionally attend tournaments
